Soy Latina, first-generation Mexican American, and native Spanish speaker. My lived experience deeply informs my work as a therapist. I approach therapy through a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive lens, recognizing that we all bring unique experiences to the table.
As a mental health therapist, I am focusing on providing therapy to better understand the mental health needs of maternal health and BIPOC minority populations.
As a BIPOC woman and a mom, I understand the unique challenges and disparities faced in maternal health. I’m passionate about advocating for equitable care and supporting women in navigating the emotional and physical complexities of everyday life, pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. Your voice and wellness matter, and I’m here to ensure you feel seen, heard, and empowered.
I’m equally dedicated to helping individuals with OCD, as I’ve seen how intrusive thoughts and compulsions can take over lives. I want to create a space where healing and empowerment are possible for everyone.
I am committed to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all clients, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, or any other personal characteristic or lifestyle choice. I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, valued, and supported. My goal is to help clients achieve their goals and improve their mental health and well-being in a holistic way that aligns with their individuality.
I hold an MSW from the University of Texas at Arlington and am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in Texas. My therapeutic approach is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Additionally, I have specialized training in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International (PSI). I am currently supervised by Kelsey Blahnik, LCSW-S.
I advocate for positive policy changes and foster meaningful relationships with stakeholders. I've honed my skills in building bridges and facilitating dialogue across diverse communities. My goal is to leverage my clinical experience to inform and enhance program management for organizations offering mental health services to the communities I serve.
I'm deeply committed to advancing equity through active civic engagement. Beyond my professional pursuits, I find joy in participating in diverse leadership forums and volunteering.
Originally from Fort Worth, I've embraced the DFW area wholeheartedly, contributing my volunteer efforts to both Dallas and Tarrant County.
